Summary National law states that: Every person has the right to accede a comprehensive assistance which includes every action directed to promote, protect, recover, rehab and palliative care. It is widely recommended in the bibliography that all professionals that treat children should have the knowledge, attitudes and basic skills to offer palliative care to those in need of it, in all medical settings, personally or as part of a team. The present norm was made by the Pereira Rossell Hospital Centre Pediatric Palliative Care Unit, based on international recommendations and its own experience, with the aim of being a useful guide to recognize children in need of PC and identify main problems and needs. It also includes a specific section with basic management of children in pain, and a guide to coping and support for dying children and their families.

Palabras clave : HOSPICE CARE; PALLIATIVE CARE; PRACTICE GUIDELINES AS TOPIC .
