Abstract

PREGO, Javier et al. Shock séptico por Pseudomonas aeruginosa adquirido en la comunidad asociado a neutropenia, en un paciente previamente sano. Arch. Pediatr. Urug. [online]. 2006, vol.77, n.2, pp.143-148. ISSN 1688-1249.

Summary Community-acquired sepsis by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in previously healthy children is exceptional. A clinical case of a previously healthy child with refractary septic shock associated with neutropenia, ecthyma gangrenosum, necrotizing colitis and hepatic abscess due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa is presented. The fast application of an anti Pseudomona treatment with empiric antibiotics may improve the prognosis of these patients
