Summary Acute respiratory infection is one of the main causes of morbility and mortality not only for the newborn, but also for the infants. It is one of authorities´ priorities to act in the prophylaxis in the third care level due to the important social and economical cost. The evolution of 22 newborn who received prophylaxis for syncytial respiratory virus with palivizumab (Sinagis®) is described.
