A child´s hospitalization at an intensive care unit its a stressful event and could be the generator of secondary pathology for the child and his family. The family and the health team use different mechanisms to confront this situation, often generators of major difficulties and conflicts. With the objective of accompanying the parents in this situation, we have designed a pioneer experience with weekly meetings among ICU hospitalized children families and representatives of the health team. The results of this experience are presented next. It is concluded that the experience is a very positive one and could be extended to other care centers.
