Abstract

Summary  We reviewed the slides of the lungs of de autopsy cases of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy studied at the Pereira Rossell Hospital in Montevideo from october 1^st, 1998 to october 1^st, 2001. This review was done without the knowledge of the primary diagnosis, the clinical data or the scene investigation. After the review, there was agreement with the diagnosis of the final cause of death in 229 out of 238 cases (96,2%).
