Abstract

Acrodermatitis enteropathica is a rare autosomal recessive disorder present with charateristic : periorificial and acral dermatitis, alopecia and diarrhea. It is caused by the impaired intestinal absorption of zinc. The diagnosis is clinical and the low zinc levels in blood confirm it. Treatment consists in oral therapy with this oligoelement. Although this affection is little frequent we emphasized the importance of thinking about her since with a simple therapy pathological clinical findings and symptoms totally disappeared. On  report a full-term, 6 month-old boy with failure of the growth appears and characteristic cutaneous- mucous syndrome who has of Acrodermatitis enteropathica.
