Infective endocarditis of fungal origin is a pathology with high morbidity and mortality. It represents between 1 and 3% of all cases of infective endocarditis. Its diagnosis remains a challenge today. We present the case of a patient with endocarditis on a prosthetic valve of fungal etiology due to Alternaria spp, a germ not described in the literature.
