Abstract

From August 26 to 29, 2022, the 70th anniversary of the European Congress of Cardiology was held in Barcelona, Spain. It was the first in-person format since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the digital format was maintained to allow greater attendance at this great event. Approximately 24,000 people attended this event, in which various clinical trials and clinical practice guidelines were presented. Next, we will summarize some of the main researches presented:
- Five-year Outcomes of the Danish Cardiovascular Screening (DANCAVAS) trial;
- Treatment in Morning versus Evening (TIME) trial;
- Rivaroxaban in Rheumatic Heart Disease - Associated Atrial Fibrillation (INVICTUS) trial;
- Percutaneous Revascularization for Ischemic Ventricular Dysfunction (REVIVED- BCIS2) trial;
- Dapagliflozin Evaluation to Improve the Lives of Patients with Preserved Ejection Fraction Heart Failure (DELIVER) trial.
