The ablation of atrial fibrillation based on pulmonary veins isolation, is a widely used strategy nowadays. Post ablation recurrence is a frequent problem. Several recurrence predictors have been researched, with the purpose of choosing the patient that would benefit the most from this procedure. Current evidence is controversial and more research is needed.
