Abstract: Aneurysmathic dilatation of the ascending aorta rarely occur in pediatric patients, specially in the absence of Marfan´s syndrome. We report a 6 year old girl without external signs of Marfan´s syndrome, who underwent an urgent aortic root replacement with a valved conduit, due to an ascending aortic aneurysm and preruptured clinical signs.
