Resumen

SOSA, Inés; MAGLIANO, Julio  y  OTERO, Gabriela. Abrikossoff tumour: a case report. Rev. Méd. Urug. [online]. 2024, vol.40, n.4, e701.  Epub 26-Nov-2024. ISSN 0303-3295.  https://doi.org/10.29193/rmu.40.4.10.

Abrikossoff tumour is a benign, neural-origin tumour that is very rare and typically occurs in the oral cavity. Its diagnosis is histopathological, and its management involves surgical resolution. Since oral cavity pathologies are often evaluated by dermatologists, we consider it important to be familiar with this condition. The aim of this article is to review the literature on Abrikossoff tumour, focusing on its clinical presentation, prognosis, and management, based on a clinical case. We conclude that although Abrikossoff tumour is generally benign, it is crucial to monitor patients in collaboration with other specialties that manage this pathology to rule out recurrence or malignant transformation.
