Abstract

Summary Moyamoya disease is a cerebrovascular disorder characterized by a chronique and progressive occlusion of both intracranial internal carotides and proximal vessels of the polygone of Willis, that determine clinically recurrent ischemic cerebrovascular strokes. A clinical case of a pediatric patient who underwent surgical procedure of pial synangiosis, with a satisfactory clinical evolution and imaging with evidence of collateral circulation development to the surgical area.
