Summary Situations where conflict of interests are involved should be considered in order to avoid improper consequences for the whole society. Relationships between health professionals and other actors are currently necessary; society will be favoured when participants carry their specific aims out. The purposes of the main actors in the physicians-pharmaceutical industry and professional relationships that raise a potential conflict of interests were particularly analyzed in this paper. Policies and guidelines procedures of scientific societies and pharmaceutical industry are shown and discussed in order to avoid power deviance. Moral obligation should be necessary to prevent conflict of interests as well as to disclose circumstances that may lead to conflict.
