From the narrations of four women who migrated from Uruguay to Spain in the decade of 2000 and the objects that accompanied their migratory journey, we will reflect on how the selection and composition of their suitcases was shaped by administrative conditions, migratory laws and their imaginary on border control. The paper will describe and analyze how the administrative irregular conditions in which migration took place was built and resisted from the relationship of women and their personal objets. Reflections will be made on how working with objects can help to understand the migratory experience and border crossings
