The COVID-19 pandemic impacted all life aspects of the planet's inhabitants. The access and appropriation of digital technologies proved to be an unavoidable condition for the consolidation of democratic projects of social inclusion. In this article, we analyze the gaps and challenges in the region, whose approach from the perspective of public policies is essential for taking advantage of technological solutions in education. In addition, we present starting points to study the EdTech ecosystem and the analysis of a corpus of documents that address this issue at the regional level. Finally, we propose a set of recommendations for designing and strengthening mechanisms of articulation between public policies and the EdTech ecosystem.
