This article presents the first data analysis from the field work (2018-2020) of the research “Living bodies, felt bodies. Sexual accompaniment for people with disabilities with severe dependency in Uruguay”. Its purpose is to analyze the role and figure of sexual accompaniment for people with disabilities with severe dependency in Uruguay, from the discourses of people with disabilities, and referents of the political, union, academic and societal arena on two axes: ways of naming the figure of sexual accompaniment in consonance with the role to be played, and differences and similarities between accompaniment sex and sex work.
