The article presents a panoramic view of the main paradigms of disability and its preponderant models: individual, social and biopsychosocial. This makes it possible to distinguish between hearing impairment and deaf, seeking to show how in young people the fact of having a body mark, as manifested through a limitation in body structure, affects the position of the social structure. Data from the Continuous Household Survey (2004), the National Extended Household Survey (2006) and the Population Census (2011) are analyzed. The results show evidence of oppression, exclusion and inequality in which deaf young people live. Due to social representations and practices that dialogically dialectical with objective factors, the possession of a limitation in the corporal structure leads to a social position inferior to the rest. This highlights the need to deepen the analysis of the interaction between the context, representations and social practices linked to disability, and the unique experiences of disabled individuals.
