Abstract

SALVIA, Agustín  and  VERA, Julieta. Employment quality in Argentina (2004-2011): a critique of the educational credential approach. Rev. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2016, vol.29, n.38, pp.37-58. ISSN 0797-5538.

The paper argues that while the policies developed in the current phase of growth have favoured the expansion of labour demand, this process is no evidence - at least not yet- of a qualitative change in what refers to a decrease in socio-productive heterogeneity. In this sense, it argues that continue current segmentation of labour markets and a high concentration of resources -including highly educated labour force- on the most dynamic sectors of the economic system. The information used comes from the microdata from the Household Permanent Survey eph - indec (eph-Continuous), and refers to the total urban area relieved by the survey for the witness years considered in the study (2004, 2007 and 2011)

Keywords : Structural heterogeneity; labor market segmentation;  educational capital;  Argentina.
