Abstract

NION CELIO, Soledad. Security and production policies in Uruguay: acceptability of risk and management. Rev. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2015, vol.28, n.37, pp.81-100. ISSN 0797-5538.

This work analyse the convergences and differences between the policies of security and productivity, taking as examples an oil refinery, three companies of agro-forestry and paper sector company from Uruguay. The comparative analysis takes into account both the characteristics common to the three areas related to risk, regulation and production levels, as well as those that are remarkably diverse, especially those related to employment conditions (forms of contract and remuneration). In all cases, it appears that there are organizational policies developed at a macro level are contradictory, reflected in the everyday strategies of the workers.
