The main goal of this paper is to analyze the socio-historical events that Uruguayans remembered as striking in their lives. The study is a result from a survey prepared in 2012 in order to analyze the changes throughout the life course. This approach is based on an interdisciplinary paradigm that examines longitudinally the articulation of different events in people’s life and the relationship with the socio-historical contexts. The more important events mentioned by respondents from different generations and the significance acquired by events that took place during the youth period.
