CECCHINI MURUA, Bianca y MARTIN VARELA, Milagros. Hate Speeches as a Strategy of the New Right Wing: An Approach to the Limits of Freedom of Expression in the Digital Environment. Dixit [online]. 2024, vol.38, e4023. Epub 01-Dic-2024. ISSN 1688-3497. https://doi.org/10.22235/d.v38.4023.
Hate speech (HS) has become an increasingly pressing issue, especially within the context of what we identify as the new right. These radicalized groups frequently target vulnerable communities -including LGBT+ individuals, feminist activists, racialized groups, and migrants- posing a challenge to defining the boundaries of freedom of expression, particularly when these actions occur in digital spaces. Ad-dressing hate speech requires a social perspective on discourse. Through a comprehensive literature review of the most recent and relevant work in this field, this paper explores the causes and characteris-tics of hate speech circulation, focusing on how it relates to its specific social and cultural contexts
