Resumen

HERNANDEZ-CONDE, Macarena; ARENCON-BELTRAN, Sandra  y  SOLA-MORALES, Salomé. Feminist transmedia narratives. The case of the Spanish 8M movement during 2019. Dixit [online]. 2021, n.35, pp.51-70.  Epub 01-Dic-2021. ISSN 1688-3497.  https://doi.org/10.22235/d35.2610.

This article presents a state of the art of feminist transmedia narratives and uses the Spanish 8M movement as a case example that illustrates the practices of digital intervention, through the exploration of self-produced discourses disseminated on the Internet in 2019. These symbolic productions have great potential and allow us to understand the transmedia narratives of the movement. The sample was coded using the open procedure (Atlas.ti software). A digital ethnograpy about the iniciatives and a socio-semiotic analysis has been implemented, with qualitative software and open coding. In the light of the analysis of the remixed viral cultural products (portraits, banners, illustrations, memes and graffiti), it is confirmed that the contents travel from the Internet to the street -and vice versa-, in a loop that reinforces the idea of collective authorship as an essential characteristic of hybrid participation. It is concluded that through the appropriation of social networks, feminisms show subjectivities, empowerment processes and social autonomy of great relevance for their political action.
