History

In the city of Montevideo, capital of Uruguay and the Chamber of the Board of Public Hygiene, after several spontaneous meetings of some members of the medical profession, in which the idea of forming a Society began in order to work for the interests and advances in science, the nineteen days of November and year in 1852, meeting Doctors Messrs D. Francisco Garcia Salazar, Juan Francisco Correa, and Professors of Pharmacy, Mr. Julio Lenoble, D.
