The
Journal of the Faculty of Law of the University of the Republic is an
annual, peer-reviewed academic publication that aims to contribute to
the development of legal science and the social sciences by promoting
critical and plural analysis on relevant topics in the different areas
of law. The Journal is composed of the following sections: doctrine
(research or doctrinal articles), jurisprudence or annotated norms,
student articles, reviews, and information, the latter two being
non-reviewed. Each of these sections accepts unpublished works, both national and international, from any legal or social discipline, in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. Short Title: Rev. Fac. Derecho Academic, peer-reviewed, annual, and continuously published publication. Journal of the Faculty of Law. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Peer Review Process Publication Process Once the contributions are received, a preliminary review will be conducted to verify compliance with the formal requirements and that the contributions are original, relevant, and of high quality. If there are no observations in this regard, the process will continue. The Journal will submit the received papers to REFEREEING using a double-blind system, meaning that the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, nor do the authors know the identity of the reviewers. For this purpose, reviewers external to the Journal of proven competence will be used. Each reviewer will have two weeks to submit their written evaluation, in which they must state whether the work is of sufficient quality to be published in the Journal. In the event of a disagreement among the reviewers, a third review will be requested. Based on the outcome of this review, the Journal reserves the right to accept or reject the publication of the submitted papers, as well as to inform the author of certain changes as a condition of publication. was published with some regularity. In the year 1991, following the formation
of the Facultad de Ciencias Sociales. The Faculty changes its name to Facultad
